HomePoint

HomePoint works to improve the standard of information and advice provision throughout Scotland. To do this, we support providers of information and advice services.

Our work is consumer-focused and includes the following:

Development and promotion of the Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers. For more information about the Standards contact HomePoint.

The Guide to Housing Options in Scotland, which gives information on the range of housing options in Scotland. This includes housing from local authorities, housing associations and provision for special needs groups. Basic housing text in a range of languages for the use of providers of information and advice is available at HomePoint basic translations.

The HomePoint Directory of Information and Advice Providers (requiring a password which can be obtained from HomePoint) which gives descriptions of housing information and advice providers in Scotland to assist local authorities in strategic planning.

The Scottish National Core Standards and Good Practice Guidance for Private Landlords and the Guide to Implementing Voluntary Accreditation Schemes for Private Landlords.

HomePoint also:

• disseminates good practice and general information through a range of publications; and

• manages delivery of electronic training courses on housing issues.

Contact HomePoint either by telephone on 0131 313 0044 or by email.
